CP Distributors has a current opening for an ambitious Project Accountant in our Surrey branch.

As a Project Accountant , you will be responsible to:
- Process all invoices, progress claims, holdbacks, cash receipts, and backorders as per our company standards;
- Maintain project books, balance secured work, and reconcile project files;
- Ensure the collection of all accounts receivables to the acceptable days outstanding required by the company and administered by the Credit Manager;
- Become adept in the fundamentals of estimating, pricing, quoting, shipping, and its impact on invoicing and collections processes;
- Oversee an effective system of filing all reports, including supplier invoices and purchase orders;
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting process;
- Process all installer invoices within corporate standards;
- Provide support to other members of the finance and administrative team as required from time to time;
- Take a proactive and professional approach to problem-solving and have strong organizational abilities.
Your Experience:
- Ideally, you have 3+ years administrative experience focused on Accounts Receivable;
- Successful completion of a college diploma or university degree with a focus in administration or accounting;
- Sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices;
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment and brings a customer-focused mindset in all aspects of the role;
- Previous experience with collections and progress claims is preferred;
- Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with ERP systems is considered a strong asset;
- Direct industry experience in construction is considered a strong asset.
