Job description

Our Oshawa, ON Branch is looking for a Field Service Technician (Confined Space Technician)! This role is associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and the handling of hazardous materials.

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to pumps, vacuum trucks, and equipment, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
• Performs chemical and water spills and environmental clean-up.
• Performs Confined Space entries -working with Tank and Vessel Cleaning;
• Performs work at heights, on platforms;
• Handles various hand tools and powered industrial tools, including pressure washers and saws
• Wears respirators for work;
• Other duties as assigned;

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous related field labor/hazardous waste removal experience.
• Previous experience working in confined spaces;
• Previous experience working with a respirator;
• Previous experience working at heights;
• Ability to travel; this position requires 40% travel for extended periods.
• Ability to wear respirator for work;
