Job description

Cardinal Health, with over 1300 employees in Canada is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

Cardinal Health is looking for a Bilingual Quality Assurance Technician to join our Quality Management team on a 8-month contract in Dorval, Montreal. This position will be a hybrid model helping our Dorval Facility along with other sites.

Quality Management is responsible for the development and deployment of policies, procedures and programs designed to minimize risk, enable compliant business operations, products, and services, and drive uncompromised supply chain integrity.

This role reports to the Manager or Director of Quality Management for Cardinal Health.  

Your Contributions to the Organization will be to :

Demonstrates knowledge of quality requirements and utilizes depth and breadth of experience to assess quality risk and business impact. 
•    Assists in the implementation and execution of the Cardinal Health Quality System for one or more Canadian distribution facilities, as necessary
•    Participates in site quality audits, (internal and external) as necessary
•    Assists with the development of procedures and work instructions for quality programs
•    Executes on established quality policies and procedures
•    Responsible for assisting in conducting quality-related training programs, as needed
•    Maintains quality-related metrics for assigned country and/or region.
•    Provides ongoing guidance and direction to operations personnel regarding quality matters

•    Executes on Inspections, Testing and Release activities in Canada for National Brand and Cardinal Brand Canada Suppliers, as necessary
•    Execute on rework/relabeling activities as per protocols
•    Coordinate NC/CAPA investigations and resolutions for events occurring at the sites

•    Participates in the development policies and procedures to achieve specific goals

•    Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models
•    Provides solutions which may set precedent
•    Provides feedback to project leaders related to the completion of new projects
•    Provide leadership related to professional development for direct reports, as necessary
•    Receives guidance on overall project objectives

The Job might be for you if you:

•    Science degree recognized by Health Canada preferred

•    Bilingual (English and French), preferred

•    Minimum of 2 years' experience in related field, preferred

•    Experience with the FDA and Health Canada regulations is an asset

•    Experience with local/Regional quality regulations

•    Understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to participate in a wide variety of projects
