Position: Operational Technology Analyst
Location: Vaughan (Onsite)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time  

Our client is currently seeking an Analyst of Operational Technology (OT) who will be responsible for bridging the gap between the IT, development, operations, and construction departments. They have a collaborative team and an amazing work culture with great growth potential!

This position is ideal for a client-focused individual with a solid background in Windows, who is eager and likes to get things done (WiFi, networking, etc. – you will be exposed to a little bit of everything).

Your new role:

Reporting to a Senior Director of Technology, you will oversee OT projects, ensuring network and device setups align with company standards and security protocols. You will develop and implement OT policies, manage maintenance and upgrades for process control systems, proactively resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in facility process networks. You will also support new product and technology integrations, design operations protocols, conduct assessments, and research smart building technologies. Additionally, the role requires working with stakeholders to define business requirements, develop technology solutions, and liaise with vendors during installations and negotiations, ensuring operational and property systems meet business goals and efficiency standards.

Key Requirements:

- 2+ years of working experience in a similar capacity with a strong knowledge of IoT framework
- Hands-on technical knowledge of Windows Operating Systems , Networking, WiFi, Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- A critical, creative thinker with resourcefulness in achieving desired results
- Understanding of IT processes, governance, and IT frameworks
- Willingness to learn about building systems including HVAC, BAS (Building Automation System), energy metering, lighting controls, etc.
- Previous experience in Smart Buildings, Decision Control Systems (DCS) or Process Control systems, OT / IoT is a strong asset
- Excellent oral, written and telephone communication skills
