Opportunity Details

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing mid-size company located in Markham (one day per week in office) currently seeking an industry qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA).

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Preparation/review of month end activities and periodic reporting packages including analysis of company results
• In partnership with BU leaders support the planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts
• Develop/deliver accurate KPI reporting to highlight key elements of business performance
• Respond to inquiries from the company’s leadership, board of directors and audit committee
• Coach and mentor a Financial Analyst
• Participate in ad hoc finance projects related to process improvement, due diligence, ERP systems, tax and treasury, post integration acquisition etc.

The company is offering a lucrative compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary, annual bonus and a strong RSP program, plus other benefits. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA-CA or CPA)
• 3+ years of progressive, relevant industry experience
• Knowledge of IFRS is preferred
• Experience with Great Plains would be an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
