Job Description
The Specialist will work as a key member on the Clinical Engineering Management team, leading projects such as Request for Proposal (RFP) teams to select and procure products. In leading RFPs the specialist will write the technical specifications for the product or services being purchased, lead the equipment selection process and lead the team that will ultimately select the supplier. They will then arrange for, coordinate and oversee the installation of the product coordinating between the supplier and clinical departments. The specialist will assist in managing a wide range of new equipment installations from monitoring systems to MRIs. They will represent Clinical Engineering on projects like the small volume syringe pump selection and lead accreditation self assessments. The Specialist will assist in developing and implementing work standards based on the CMBES Clinical Engineering Standards of Practice. The Specialist will provide oversight of asset management for medical equipment. the Specialist is responsible for developing orientation and training to educate staff and contractors.The Specialist will require extensive project management and organizational skills, multitasking and attention to detail. The Specialist is required to be an active member in the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society.
Job Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in engineering or building trade, PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable.
Experience 3 - 5 years' experience in all aspects of facilities maintenance and operations. Valid class 5 driver's license.
