Note: As a casual security guard, your base payrate will be set to $16.55/hour. You will be paid based on which is higher, your base payrate or the site payrate. The above payrates for QHC represent the minimum and maximum payrate values for shifts at their hospitals.

Working as a Security Guard in a Healthcare environment, you will be responsible for completing investigations, and incident reports. You will be expected to perform constant patrols and interact with the public to provide good customer service and keep the clients and visitors safe.

We have multiple healthcare sites available in Picton, Bancroft, and Belleville.

Job Description:

• Proactive & reactive security patrols

• Additional Duties as Assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Security License for Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, TB Tests, etc.)
• Must have full-time availability (3-4 shifts per week)
• Must be able to commit to the provided availability for no less than 6 months
• Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair
• Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and Bancroft)
• Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• 6+ months security experience required
• Previous healthcare security experience is preferred
• 1+ year of security experience is preferred
• Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training (3 of 5 training days)
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
    • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
    • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
