Job Description:Job Description Position Title: Commercial HVAC Technician Department: Field Reports to: Installation Manager, Office manager, Territory Manager and Service manager Employment Status: Permanent resident or Citizen Effective start date: Immediately Job Summary The Commercial HVAC Technician will be responsible for all aspects of the servicing, maintenance and emergency calls of all commercial HVAC equipment. Technicians will primarily respond to service calls, but will also do planned maintenance and/or installation as needed. Absolute Energy Control offers on-the-job training and yearly wage increases as your skills develop. Starting pay is determined upon skills and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Diagnosing various commercial HVAC equipment as requiredProviding a proper and accurate diagnosis of HVAC equipmentPerform comprehensive preventive maintenance on high-rise buildings, condominiums, Office buildings, warehouses etc.Installation and maintenance of various HVAC related equipment, RTUs, MUA, Chillers, Cooling towers, VFDsPrepare maintenance reports and recommendationsConduct walkthroughs of new buildings, ensure that model and serial numbers, equipment informationInstall, maintain, modify and repair heating and cooling systems such as needed and help team members with the completion of installation of equipmentUnderstand various refrigeration questionsConduct preventive maintenance and provide maintenance reportsAttend emergency calls as requiredInspect and test components of systems to ensure they are operable and safeConduct heat loss/heat gain calculations to determine the proper size system for a homeUnderstand your sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.Establish rapport with clients to sell the right products and services and give accurate informationRe-check all repairs and installations after you’ve repaired or replaced it, before leaving the client’s home to ensure everything is working properly and the client knows how to operate the system properlyProperly use the Pricing Guide.Explain the club memberships to the client, giving them an opportunity to join.Maintain your truck so that it is neat and clean on the inside and outside at all times.Obey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.Maintain a clean and organized job siteAlways be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats. Minimum Qualifications and requirements High school diploma/GED requiredG1 or G2 gas license requiredMust have a reliable vehicle313A License5-10 years’ experience in the HVAC trade as a commercial Service technicianSelf-starter, reliable, flexibility with hoursStrong customer service skillsMust pass random drug testingUnderstanding of the current regulations within the fieldExcellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical levelAble to work both independently and as part of a teamGeneral knowledge of power tools and techniques for care and safe useMaintain a valid driver’s license and with a good driving record in the last three yearsPass a background checkDemonstrable knowledge and skills for HVAC installation, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of systems and equipment About Our Company Helping Home and Business owners with their HVAC related needs for over 20 years.
