Our client, a well-established real estate and community-building group, is seeking a Senior
Tax Accountant to join their wonderful team in their office in Vancouver.
Over the past 30 years, they have established themselves as one of the best real estate
groups in Vancouver and have also diversified into business sectors such as software and
information technology, telecommunications, and green energy projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, tax and information returns, payment calculations, and reports and maintain the company’s database
- Prepares and reviews working paper files to support tax filings
- Coordinates and works with external advisors
- Assists Management with projects and implementation of strategies
- Ensures that companies comply with federal, provincial, and municipal tax regulations
- Keep up-to-date and share knowledge with tax changes and industry trends
Requirements:
- CPA designated
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
- Excellent people skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Competent in the use of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Proficient in Corporate TaxPrep
- Past work experience in public practice is preferable
- Good team player, self-motivated, and willing to learn
