Your role
Join our team as a Project Scheduler with our Eastern Ontario Businss Unit.
Our team of experts lead major capital building and infrastructure projects in various sectors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse porfolio for our Eastern Ontario team and have the ability to demonstrate your scheduling knowledge and technical expertise to transform project performance using various project control tools to address our clients' needs.
- You’ve worked on several projects, varying in size and scope in the sector relating to educational, municipal or other institutional buildings, facilities and essential infrastructure in the role of Scheduler or Planner
- You develop master schedules for a large-scale, complex project working with various stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams
- Your clients trust you and rely on your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their project or program goals and objectives by providing them with critical, decision-making information, equipping them with the visibility of the project outcomes and increasing the certainty of success.
- Your clients are impressed with your ability to represent their best interests regarding developing, monitoring and controlling of project schedule
- You are competent in working Project Management Information Systems, proficient in applying Earned Value Analysis methodology with the use of various project control tools to address our clients’ stated and implied needs
- You are highly competent in transforming project performance information into the project schedule progress reports and dashboards that include a comprehensive analysis of project schedule performance, KPIs, schedule forecasts and risks and recommended actions
- Your project teams rely on your ability to manage change, communicate and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget
- A university or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
- At least 5+ years of experience in project controls management, specializing in project and program planning/scheduling
- Proven experience in monitoring and driving project schedule performance
- Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models, financial management and construction estimating methodologie
- Proficiency in setting up and working with Project Management Information Systems/Project Controls Software ( e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier or others)
- Comprehensive understanding and practical skills in the development and management of Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, schedule and cost baselines, earned value analysis, risk management, and change management processes
- Professional industry credentials such as PMP, PMI-SP, E.I.T/P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry-recognized designation is considered a strong asset
- A positive attitude, professional curiosity and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issues
- Reliability and Secret clearance with the Federal Government would be desired
