Position : Production Planner
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Salary: $60,000 - $78,000 Yearly
Industry: Aerospace / Production Planning / Maintenance
Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and maintain production schedules
- Analyze and evaluate production orders, customer requirements, and inventory levels to create achievable production plans
- Monitor and update production schedules, taking into account changes in demand, resource availability, etc.
- Facilitate and schedule meetings to discuss production schedules and any budget risks
- Proactively implement solutions to optimize production efficiency
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all components meet the required standards
- Generate regular reports on performance, production-output, and resource utilization
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience :
- Degree or Post Secondary Education in Business, Operations Management, or Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance (Approved by TCA)
- 3+ years experience as a Production Planner in the aerospace or manufacturing industry, preferably in heavy maintenance on transport category aircraft
- Knowledge of production planning principles, scheduling techniques, and supply chain management
- Proficient in using MS applications such as MS Project, Excel, and other database programs
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in planning activities
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
