Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Office Manager. The Medical Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, handling communication with patients, and ensuring excellent customer service. The Medical Office Manager will also be responsible for managing receptionist duties and medicine inventory.
Qualifications
- Medical office and receptionist duties experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of medicine inventory management
- Ability to manage staff and oversee daily operations
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a healthcare management role, preferably in a dental or medical office setting
- Strong knowledge of Healthquest electronic medical records system.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in human resources management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and financial management
- Understanding of acute care practices and regulations
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services
- Manage and supervise clinic staff, including nurses, medical office assistants, and administrative personnel
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care and continuity of services
- Coordinate scheduling of appointments, procedures, and consultations
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of medical information
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Participate in budgeting and financial planning for the clinic
- Achieve performance goals including, but not limited to, patient retention, patient satisfaction, patient count, controllable expenses, operational targets, and patient, physician, and staff engagement.
- Ensures standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained
- Responsible for effectively handling patient concerns in accordance with our customer service standards
- Creates a customer service culture that supports our patients and physicians
- Participates in the hiring of all staff as required
- Ensures staff are properly trained in all aspects of their role and provides ongoing coaching as required
- EMR trainer for new physicians and staff.
- Prepare and oversee staff schedules and ensure staffing levels adhere to clinic standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 42 per week
