Job description

The Engineering Coordinator will assist in providing support to the daily operations of the Engineering Department.
- Provide support for the Engineering Department;
- Input & accurately maintain / update the Engineering responsible portion of data in our ERP System;
- Input & accurately maintain / update Part, Product, Process Master Information sheets (internal document);
- Coordinate Customer Prototype / Special orders – respond to Customer system, manage part log, prepare & package parts for shipment to meet Customer PO requirements & MRD;
- Conduct & document part weight studies, input results;
- Develop, submit & maintain Service Packaging inputs, including cost quotes, approvals & instructions;
- Conduct cost analysis on Service parts as needed;
- Review & respond to Customer Portals for Service parts weekly (MOPAR, FCSD);
- Conduct team meetings to coordinate plant actions when parts / programs build out;
- Coordinate miscellaneous engineering changes to Service parts or raw material, quote bank build costs as needed;
- Initiate, distribute &/or process internal documentation (Change Notice, Tryout Request, Action Plans);
- Assist with Operator Work Instructions, Work Cycle Breakdowns, Time Studies as needed;
- Attend APQP & other applicable meetings, assist with preparations for launching new products in plant;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of High School Diploma / GED;
- Prefer Certificate or Associates Degree in related field;
- Knowledge of CMS, Ford GPIRS, Stellantis MPPS systems an asset;
- Knowledge of Ford, GM & Stellantis Supplier Portals an asset;
- Must be able to read basic drawings;
- Minimum of 2 years office experience in automotive industry;
- Proficient in MS Office applications with exceptional skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email;
- Must be team oriented with ability to work independently without direct supervision;
- Must be able to relate well and interact with all levels of personnel;
- Must have excellent attention to detail;
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately;
- Ability to execute all job responsibilities in accordance with ISO/ TS 16949 requirements;
- ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems Internal Auditor course (if audits are a requirement).
