Position : Property Manager
Location : Onsite (Toronto, ON)
Tenure : Full-Time, Permanent
Position Overview:
Our client is a leading property management organization is looking for an experienced Property Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing employee management including performance reviews, hiring, training, and staff complaints. They will also be tasked with financial management, preventative and corrective maintenance management, tenant services, and corporate governance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare the annual budgets
- Monitor monthly financial reports
- Oversee deposits and ensure late payments, arrears and NSF letters are issued in a timely manner
- Make recommendations to increase efficiency and lower costs
- Collaborate closely with the Board and Committee for any required activities
- Ensure RGI applications are processed in accordance to regulations
- Attend Board and Member meetings as required
- Act as escalation point for any complaints from members, tenants, or staff
- Conduct regular maintenance inspections and document findings in reports
- Oversee maintenance staff and tradespeople, and ensure required tasks are being completed as needed
- Coordinate with contractors and tradespeople to ensure any work orders are addressed as required
- Assist Senior Property Manager with annual reviews and contract renewals
- Review preventative maintenance plan on an annual basis
- Ensure that fire safety plans are updated and that local fire safety ordinances are adhered to
- Ad hoc tasks are required
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of experience in property management or similar
- 1+ years of experience as a Property Manager
- Completion of the Institute of Housing Management (IHM) Certificate is strongly preferred
- Valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Proven expertise with establishing budgets, operational decision making, and strong multi-tasking
- Strong proven leadership skills
