Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Fleet Administrator to join NAITs Supply Chain Management Team. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Management, this position is responsible for the administration of the NAIT Vehicle Fleet, and NAIT Staff and Student drivers in accordance to the Alberta Transportation Regulations and the NAIT Fleet Guidelines. Scheduling of vehicles for rentals, scheduling of maintenance in accordance with the NAIT Fleet Compliance Manual, ensure drivers are meeting Alberta Traffic Safety Act, Alberta Transportation regulations, and NAIT Fleet Guideline requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Safety - development and maintenance of the fleet safety program.
• Fleet management - acquisition and disposal of units.
• Driver Records - maintain records on all authorized drivers both Staff and Students, including drivers abstracts
• Fleet Credit Cards - reconciliation of fleet cards, auditing of those transactions
• Vehicle Maintenance - monitor and ensure that all fleet vehicles are going in for there scheduled maintenance and/or inspections
• Ensure Compliancy - to all applicable legislation, internal policies and procedures
• Contract Management - handling the day-to-day operations of all of Fleet related contracts and agreements, providing reports, KPIs and recommendations

Skills & Abilities :

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
• Knowledge of applicable legislations, regulations (Alberta Transportation Regulations and National Safety Code, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc.)
• Must be knowledgeable of corporate/educational fleet operations

Qualifications :

• Completion of grade twelve
• Related Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma
• 5 years of relevant experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Class 1 driver’s license is an asset

Remuneration : $1,957.47 - $2,557.12 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Administrative Support VI)
- This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement._
