As the Farm Specialist you will be responsible for new client growth and expansion of the farm portfolio through outbound prospecting, client contact and sales activities. You will play a key role in identifying prospects in agricultural markets, servicing clients, determining risks, and presenting customized insurance solutions.
How you will create impact:
- Conducting inbound and outbound calls to prospect and proactively build a sales pipeline, developing marketing plans to promote insurance offerings, and contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and growth goals.
- Completing risk assessments and farm inspections in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Working with clients to review goals, providing risk management advice and recommendations for coverage, completing policy updates, and documenting required changes.
- Conducting policy reviews to identify changing coverage requirements, responding to client inquiries, resolving complaints, and escalating issues as required.
- Participating in events to create brand awareness and developing, maintaining, and cultivating community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.

To join our team:
- You have 2-3 years of experience in farm insurance sales and business development.
- You have a post-secondary education in a related discipline.
- You hold a General Insurance License.
- You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP)
What you need to know:
- You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.
- You will travel regularly.
- This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
- Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.
- You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
