Job description

Position : Senior Financial Analyst
Location: 30 minutes NE of Elmira, ON
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Yearly
Industry: Manufacturing / Finance/ Forecasting/ Budgeting
Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent
Schedule: Hybrid
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Responsible for assisting in developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support key business decisions
- Responsible for month end activities such as analyzing journal entries, preparing financial reports etc.
- Conduct cost analysis to optimize operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement
- Generate comprehensive financial reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators
- Conduct variance analysis and communicate financial results with stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and contribute to continuous improvement
- Implement best practices to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience :
- Post Secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5 – 7 years of experience in a Financial Reporting position preferably in a manufacturing industry
- CPA designation required (CA, CMA, CGA)
- Strong experience with consolidations and financial reporting systems
- Proficiency in Financial modeling and analysis tools
- Experience using MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
