MAXIMUM OF SALARY RANGE: $119,599.00 per annum

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Team Lead, IT this role leads the Center of Excellence for PeopleSoft Support Services and is a PeopleSoft technical expert to the team which provides PeopleSoft Technical Operational Support and Enterprise Application Support Services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Team Leadership
- Provides daily direction and technical mentoring to PeopleSoft IT professional staff. Ensures team and external contractors follow Corporate and HR regulations and comply with other applicable IT policies and standards.
- Provide thorough hands-on knowledge in administrating PeopleSoft Server components, application issues and technical issues.
- Performs migration activities in PeopleSoft, Tax updates, Patches, Maintenance packs, Service packs, and maintains the system stability.
- Assists in orientation of new employees and mentor other team members and users regarding PeopleSoft product. Identify development opportunities for the technical team. Identify team skill requirements and determine gaps in the team skill sets. Perform QA review of work completed by technical team.
- Responsible for the creation and monitoring of technical project work packages and work breakdown structures, participate in the recruitment of external technical resources. Subject Matter Expert of PeopleSoft Technical Environment
Operation Support
- Manage and provide direction for the PeopleSoft application team in support of business operations. Liaise with PeopleSoft System Administrators, PeopleSoft Business Analysts, Application Developers, Project Analysts, PeopleSoft/Oracle DBA, Offshore Managed Services team, assigned technical consultants and contract staff. Accountable for the delivery of Technical Operational Support of the PeopleSoft Applications.
- Develops specifications, test plants, installation and instructional documentation of various types of technologies and software related to PeopleSoft, including new releases.
- Prepares / manages project plan for any major tasks such as applying security patches/bundles/ tax updates.
Customer Service
- Liaise with internal clients to identify, validate and project manage specific technical project and operational needs.
- Provide support of the PeopleSoft Infrastructure. This may be required 7 days/week 24 hours/day, this includes the ability to be flexible with work schedules in order to address updates and installation of hardware/software products.
Technical Expertise
- Accountable for the installation and technical management of the PeopleSoft applications. Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems upgrades, products, and/or enhancements to existing PeopleSoft applications throughout the enterprise, and support staff.
- Develop and maintain the ERP environment strategy for the organization
- Ensure solutions meet user requirements and comply with City standards and regulations.
- Performs technical risk analysis and make recommendations on changes being made to the PeopleSoft applications or related infrastructure (i.e application or server patches, configuration changes, major upgrades and hardware changes etc.).
- Accountable for co-ordination and implementation of technical production changes. Design, execute and monitor quality assurance process for PeopleSoft technical deliverables and technical infrastructure. Provide as a Senior Systems Analyst responsibilities on large or complex projects and operational activities.
- Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications. Analyze documentation and technical specifications of PeopleSoft applications under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality and applicability to Brampton. Review and analyze existing team’s effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging them.
- Increases organization effectiveness by identifying opportunities to leverage existing / new technologies related to PeopleSoft ERP.
- Provide strategic recommends that align with the technology roadmaps and corporate strategic direction.
- Oversee the PeopleSoft ERP integration architecture, strategy and implementation across various corporate systems and third-party external partners.
- Accountable for Change Management process related to PeopleSoft. Accountable for the delivery of technical project activities for the PeopleSoft Application.
Communication and Reporting
- Maintains Documentation and standards
- Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding contracts/agreements. Ensure project level documentation meets Corporate I.T. standards. Document SOPs as required for technical competency and consistency.
- Perform follow up audits and reviews to ensure standards are being applied and adhered to in the delivery of technical activities (operational, efficiencies, security, and compliance).
- Creation and implementation of complete technical of the ERP systems, architecture, documentation standards and standard operation procedures for technical operational activities. Ensure team follows corporate standards for processes, security, and documentation and maintain confidentiality of all information.

- Lead and participate on project/process initiatives
- Collaborate to achieve common goals and objectives that meet operational effectiveness and corporate service standards

SELECTION CRITERIA:
EDUCATION:
- University degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent;
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years experience in developing, integrating and managing corporate applications and at least 3 years specifically with PeopleSoft applications;
- 3 - 5 years experience as a Technical Administrator for a large scale application preferable PeopleSoft;
- Minimum 1- 2 years proven project management experience, project management certification is an asset;
OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS:
- University degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years experience in developing, integrating and managing corporate applications and at least 3 years specifically with PeopleSoft applications;
- 3 - 5 years experience as a Technical Administrator for a large scale application preferable PeopleSoft;
- Minimum 1- 2 years proven project management experience, project management certification is an asset;
- PeopleSoft Technical Training, PeopleSoft Technical Certification is an asset;
- Exposure to leading edge technology, industry standard and IT best practices; exceptional communication skills along with superior report writing;
- 2 years supervisory experience in a unionized environment would be an asset;
- Excellent customer service;
- Expert level experience and knowledge of the current PeopleSoft technical infrastructure and development toolset, including but not limited to:
- Application Designer
- PeopleCode
- PeopleSoft Integration Technologies (Integration Broker, Component Interface, Web Services and Application Messaging
- Process Scheduler
- Application Engine
- PeopleSoft Application and Web Server
- Demonstrated experience with industry standards and theories, including Relational Database design, Software Development Lifecycle, Industry standard quality assurance practices, ITIL, COBIT, Project Management Methodology
- PeopleSoft application installation and upgrade experience
- Business and System Analysis experience with complex systems and processes
- Fundamental understanding of Vmware virtualization, Red Hat Linux, & network technology.
- Knowledge with Web Logic, Tuxedo, COBOL and other technologies required for the PeopleSoft Technical Architecture
- Demonstrated Oracle SQL experience
- Experience integrating PeopleSoft with 3rd party applications and external service providers.
