Start Date: May 1, 2024
The Camp Administrator is responsible for organizing a summer program connecting client families with community recreation/day camp activities to provide a positive summer experience.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides a lead role in the accessing community programs.
- Researches and identifies community resources.
- Contacts and develops positive relationships with service providers of age-appropriate activities.
- Manages the program’s budget.
- Monitors spending and provides budget reports.
- Provide a final report summary.
- Exercises appropriate communication.
- Liaises with assigned child protection workers to ensure the participation of identified families and provide feedback as needed.
- Provides direction and guidance to the Program Assistant.
- Exercises appropriate personal and professional behaviour.
- Adheres to professional and ethical standards and abides by applicable legislation, agency policies, and procedures.
- Builds health and safety into all aspects of performance.
- Actively upholds the principles identified in the Society’s Code of Ethics.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, and ATTRIBUTES:
Qualifications:
- 2 years in Post Secondary Education (University or College).
- Valid G Driver’s License and access to a reliable motor vehicle with appropriate liability insurance is required.
General Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent ability to use MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Solid knowledge of effective strategic planning, research, policy processes, and evaluation techniques.
- Solid planning, time-management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
- Acts with integrity and trustworthiness.
- Excellent ability to work with and meet tight timelines.
- Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to communicate in French or another language is an asset.
EFFORTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requirement to work evening and/or weekend hours based on need.
- Long periods of sitting and computer/phone use.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
