Wage is per HSA Community Sector, Grid 28 (commensurate with education and experience)
Status: Regular part-time (27hours/week;.72FTE)

Program: Early Intervention Therapy (EIT)

Start date: ASAP
Closing date: open until filled

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

The successful applicant will work under the direct supervision of the Therapy Program Manager primarily providing intervention based on occupational therapy objectives that are based on family priorities set by the occupational therapist working with the family. This position will also require scheduling and managing initial consultations for the speech and language pathologists and occupational therapists.

This position requires one of the following; a Rehabilitation/Therapy Assistant diploma, an Early Childhood Educator diploma, an equivalent education with two years’ experience working with young children with diverse abilities and/or experience working with early intervention therapies. Knowledge of child development, the ability to organize and prioritize and the ability to observe and monitor changes in clients are requirements of the position, as is the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Computer familiarity and ease with data-entry are also requirements.
