We provide premium, cost effective, high quality services that support process quality and delivery capability in support for client engagements.As a member of the client delivery team, in collaboration with the Acceleration Centre Tax Senior Manager, the Tax Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring high quality deliverables, with a focus on reviewing tax filings, implementing quality control measures to minimize errors, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and optimizing tax strategies.
Meaningful work you'll be a part of
As a Tax Manager, you'll be part of a team that helps deliver high quality, client service excellence and operational efficiency:
•Demonstrate technical expertise to deliver high complexity work and complete technical review performed by AC team members
•Ensure the delivery of AC's work quality, both during preparation and review, by conducting regular spot checks and quality review
•Monitor the quality of preparation and review work performed by the AC through conducting a large number of spots checks and quality review
•Provide real-time coaching and feedback to AC team members
•Identify knowledge gaps; address substandard work, conduct huddles/team training to address and in to incorporate into future AC L&D curriculum
•Provide insight for AC Leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of the AC's supervision and review processes
•Provide feedback to the leadership team regarding opportunities to continuously improve current policies and processes and recommend potential changes
•Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively
•Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve •Strong technical background and broad based tax compliance skills as a result of prior tax compliance experience (T1 and T2 returns)
•Expert knowledge of Tax Compliance Services and practices
•Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal designation would be an asset
•Experience working in a tax role at a public accounting firm would be an asset
•Experience coaching and mentoring
•Experience leading and managing competing deadlines (with various size, scope and complexity), ability to lead technical training
•Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to improve delivery, quality and efficiency
•Strong commitment to providing excellence in client service and a demonstrated ability to produce high quality results
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
•Ability to drive a team culture and lead others
•Mature self-starter who possesses the intellectual curiosity to delve beyond the surface of a problem
• The Canada Acceleration Centre (CAC) services all Canadian time zones, therefore business hours will vary and overtime is required .
• A demonstrate d commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
PwC BC Region Pay Range Information The salary range* for this position is $65,600 - $109,300, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location .
