Job description
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development with at least 3 years on POSIX compliant embedded platforms.
• 2+ years of providing technical project leadership to software teams.
• Experience with Agile development processes, definition of user stories, estimation, sprint planning and other Agile activities.
• Acting as scrum master in an agile software development environment.
• Creative and analytical thinker.
• Methodical; capable of prioritizing work, overcoming hurdles and working to tight deadlines.
• An excellent communicator with a proven record of communication across teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with distributed computing environments.
• Experience with resource planning and building teams. Technical interviews, candidate selection.
• Experience with decomposition, planning and delivery of software products and components.
• Coordinating software projects, preferably embedded software, from requirements gathering to delivery.
• Prior experience with project management.
• Knowledge of tools:
• - MS Project to create project plans and track dependencies and updates.
• - JIRA for tracking requirement, epics, user stories - JIRA boards for managing sprints and maintaining scrum boards, tracking sprint progress.
