Are you a talented Substation Design Engineer seeking a new challenge? Our esteemed client is currently looking for an experienced professional to join their team. In this role, you will contribute to the detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substation projects. As a key member of a dynamic team, you will collaborate with engineers and designers on power distribution and air & gas insulated substation engineering. If you have a strong background in substation components, layout, and electrical studies, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field with 3 years of experience.
• Excellent Communication Skills! Able to communcate compex technical concepts in email and reports
• Proficient with AutoCad and the associated skills of drawing development, scaling details to geographical layouts and observing correct application of coordinate systems, drawing layers etc.
  • Profiency with MicroStation or other drafting software is an asset. 
  • Proficient with 3D software and standart office software (including Adobe) 
• Excellent organizational communication and collaboration skills to work closely with Drafters, Engineers, and Leads to meet project timelines.
• Understanding of client-specific requirements, codes, and regulations for preparing physical electrical packages.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and data collection.
• Familiarity with substation grounding, lightning protection, and illumination studies preferred.
