ABWnG Intake Worker

Summary

The Aassgaabwitwindwaa Binoojiinhik Wiin ni Gshkiwewziwaat (ABWnG) Intake Worker will be responsible for the intake of referrals, monitoring, and updating client files and waitlists. They will also assist the ABWnG Manager and/or Care Coordinator schedule assessments, feedback meetings, and case conferences. The Intake Worker will provide information on the program to parents, schools, and community partners and must attend community events and conferences to promote the program. Other responsibilities will include aiding the organization in the overall workload and ensuring the effective use of human resources to assist in the smooth running of the department. In undertaking the role of Intake Worker, the post holder will be required to initiate their tasks and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

  1. Respond to the day-to-day inquiries related to the ABWnG Program.
  2. Provide general information about the ABWnG Program.
  3. Conduct intake of clients, including consent, background information, and screening, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  4. Collect required documentation from clients and referral sources etc.
  5. Update consent, intake information, and contact information as needed.
  6. Organize waitlists and update families as needed.
  7. Prepare and submit monthly statistical, progress, and other reports.
  8. Promote the program by attending community events and conferences.
  9. Assist with administrative support to clients, families, and health care professionals.
  10. Independently respond to both verbal and written inquiries.
  11. Other duties and projects as required or assigned.
