Job description
On behalf of our Healthcare client based in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Healthcare experience) to join our client's team on a contract basis.
Summary of the Role: This Project Manager will have extensive experience across multiple disciplines within the health sector, especially knowledge of health sciences student practicum placements. The successful candidate will:
- Lead the project resources and coordinate with multiple teams on project activities
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the system meets their requirements using validated tools
- Development of project charter
- Develop/Manage project plans (budget, schedule, risk, etc) with input from Project Team Members and other stakeholders
- Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Sponsor
- Maintain and update project status reports and dashboards
- Manage project scope change processes and acquire approvals as required
- Control, track, and report on the execution of project plans, project financials, milestones, and current issues
- Control, track and report on issues and risks identified for the project
- Escalate significant issues that cannot be solved by the Project Team
- Document all findings and recommendations
- Submit a final report at contract end
- Schedule and chair project team meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- 7-10 years of experience working as a Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years of national healthcare experience
- Strong preference for experience working with the Healthcare Authorities in BC
- Preference for experience with post-secondary institutions and/or Human resource systems
- Working knowledge of clinical services, information technology and healthcare systems
- Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment
