Job description
Corey Craig Group is a privately owned and leading customer service organization operating numerous fast food and casual dining restaurants, gas and convenience stores, and hotels among other professional businesses. Proud of our standing in the community, encouraged by our business growth, and particularly appreciative of our dedicated Team Members, we are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our operations. We offer a dynamic, fast-paced, work environment based out of Moncton, New Brunswick.
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Coding and entering invoices on a timely basis
- Preparing cheque runs
- Responding to vendor and internal inquiries regarding variances and/or outstanding payments
- Reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to billing and accounts payable
- Process employee expense reports and payments
- Entering time cards for processing of payroll
- Maintain accurate employee records
- Prepare records of employment as required
- Prepare source deductions report
- Assisting accounting and operational staff in various financial reporting matters ie g/l account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entry preparation
- Assist with other office duties as required
Skills, Abilities, Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role
- Community College diploma or Accounting degree
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Ability to work within a growing team environment
- Successful multi-tasker who thrives within a deadline driven atmosphere
- Experience with Sage accounting software is an asset
