Licensed Social Worker

Our client, a non-profit in Kingston, is seeking a Licensed Social Worker .
You will play an integral function coordinating services and care plans for individuals to ensure they are getting all the services, care and attention they need.
The Social Worker position demands the highest level of customer service and communication skills, the capability to multitask and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and at times even emotional support. The Social Worker will draw from many areas of skills and previous practice in order to succeed in this multifaceted position including but not limited to social work, case management and customer service.

Social Worker General Requirements:

»Master's Degree in social work with clinical practice in the program, or Master's degree in psychology, sociology, or other significant behavioral science in which direct clinical practice is a program requirement

» 3-5 years' clinical employment practice

»Must be comfortable working with a diverse group of youth and young adults ages 8-18

» practice working with traumatized/exploited children, and children with behavioral problems is preferred

»Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy practice a plus

» capability to exercise sound judgment under crisis situations and to abide by regulations regarding confidentiality.

»Strong communication skills with a very professional manner, as this job offer’s primary function is email and telephone communication located

»Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

»High attention to detail and capability to multitask/prioritize

» capability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive work deadlines

»Team player; comfort working in interdisciplinary environment

»Valid NYS driver's license, clean driving record

Social Worker Job tasks:

»Work with the individuals to help advance his or her skills through training and workshops

»Follow program requirements while still maintaining customized, individual attention to each person

»Obtain information about local programs and eligibility requirements that would benefit the individuals you are working with

»Develops and executes permanency plans with families consistent with team service plans

»Maintain an individual casework relationship with each person on his/her caseload.
