Job description


SOUTHLAND, a school/charter bus service provider, is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, professional Administrative Assistant / Dispatcher to join our team in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will serve an administrative function across various departments.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 annually.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Excellent customer service skills
* Previous administrative experience
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role, including handling customer concerns and complaints
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professional telephone etiquette
* Organizational and problem solving skills
* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure, and as part of a team
* Ability to handle s tressful situations in a composed manner
* Self-starter who is able to work on tight timelines

Duties:

* Ensure that drivers and staff are treated in a fair and consistent manner
* Schedule and assign charters as required
* Assist in answering public and driver inquiries and finding solutions to concerns
* Ensure all required paperwork/requests are completed in an accurate and timely manner
* Create/improve existing Operations systems
* Fuel reconciliation
* Receive and respond to requests for emergency assistance or service from dispatched resources
* Data entry in various formats
* Enter daily payroll, respond to payroll and benefits inquiries from employees, and act as a liaison between payroll department and employees
* General office duties as required
