BLANKSLATE Partners is excited to partner with our Confidential Client as they look to expand their team.

A long-standing and well-established company, centrally located just east of Vancouver in the Industrial Equipment Industry, is hiring an Accountant who is a specialist in bookkeeping and automation. 

This is an in-office position with a social office culture and lots of parking. If you are an accountant that loves implementing and automating processes and building reports with tools like Quickbooks, Shopify, and ADP, we’d love to hear from you.

This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, including:

• Entering and paying vendor invoices
• Managing accounts receivables, customer deposits and collections
• Collecting and managing sales tax exemption certificates (Canada & US jurisdictions)
• Recording intercompany sales, expenses, and inventory transfers
• Reconciling bank statements, credit cards and all other balance sheet accounts
• Submitting payroll for 10-15 employees to outsourced payroll provider
• Preparing and submitting government remittances (GST, PST, WCB, EHT)
• Reviewing monthly financial statements with the owner, including a report on large variances
• Preparing the annual budget with the guidance of the owner
• Providing year end GL balances to external accounting firm

Requirements

• 5 years full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping

• QuickBooks , Shopify Plus , ADP or Ceridian
• Multi-company, USD & CAD intercompany transactions
• Detail oriented and highly accurate
• Customer centric communication skills
