Job description
Nu-Way Machinery and Sales is growing and looking for an Accounting Administrator to join our team! The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day clerical tasks related to the financial transactions of the business including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly reporting, invoice and vendor management, remittances and year-end processes as required.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and transactions using computerized accounting software.
- Process a variety of accounts receivable & accounts payable transactions.
- Month end and year-end duties, including monthly bank reconciliation.
- Prepare and submit government remittances (HST, EHT, WSIB, etc.).
- Post payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Year-end preparation working with an external accounting firm.
- Maintain an up-to-date filing system to support bookkeeping and financial records including regulatory obligations.
- Function as the back up to support payroll functions: (T4’s, absences, deductions, garnishments, terminations, remittances, payroll reporting, processing records of employment).
- Perform administration duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping.
- Solid computer skills using a variety of accounting software (Expert proficiency with Sage would be considered an asset).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Highly driven, organized, and flexible with a strong customer service mindset.
- Attention to detail specifically balancing and verifying entries and comfort working with data.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill.

Salary: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour
