About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager – Perioperative Services and Medical Device Reprocessing, the Perioperative Booking Officer, in collaboration with the charge nurse and Assistant Manager, or delegate, is responsible for ensuring that Operating Room (OR) theaters are utilized appropriately in accordance with OR block distribution and Patient Access Registry Nova Scotia (PARNS) with consideration of the available human, financial and physical resources. In collaboration with the Surgical Preadmission Clinic (SPAC) coordinate the client’s surgical journey to ensure that the client has had the appropriate workup completed. The Operating Room Booking Officer works with departments and units that impact OR utilization to ensure that booking times are appropriate in order to facilitate the smooth flow of the OR day.

Compensation and Incentives

$24.69 - $27.53 Hourly
