Job description
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Social Services Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for providing support on client cases, managing the waiting list, performing community outreach, and assisting with general office administration.
Main Duties:
Manage the waiting list of potential residents by making updates as needed both in the filing cabinet and computer database;
Assist with the organization of health seminars for caregivers in the community and residents in the Home;
Record minutes in both English and Chinese languages;
Provide support to residents with health challenging issues;
Assist in case management and crisis intervention;
Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Current enrolment in a post-secondary program in Social Services or related field in a recognized University/College;
Experience working with seniors is a strong asset;
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team a strong asset;
Strong computer skills;
Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team;
Bilingual in English and Chinese is preferred, both written and verbal.
