Pharmacist – Notre Dame

Locally owned and operate in Central Alberta, we have a strong clinical practice and excellent patient relationships. is hiring a part-time Pharmacist. Flexible and extensive compensation package. Hours of operation are 8am-7pm Monday through Thursday, 8am-5pm Friday, 12pm-4pm Saturday, and closed Sunday / Holidays.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Checking prescriptions for accuracy
Performing clinical services (medication/vaccine administration, medication reviews, prescription adaptations)
Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team
Dispensing medications to clients, and inform them of side effects
Providing patient counselling
Completing appropriate documentation
Other duties as required
Provide pharmacological information by responding to all healthcare professionals in the patient’s circle of care
Provide information on medication regimens including counselling on prescriptions and over the counter/behind the counter products
Ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with legislation and standards of practice including narcotic and controlled drug records
Participate in inventory control processes ensuring accurate perpetual inventory records
Support the Pharmacy Management in supervision and training of support staff
Engage and participate in expanded scope of Professional Services ensuring patient focused services as deemed appropriate for the patient
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing
