Calling all labourers with experience using hand and power tools!!

**NOTE: PORTIONS OF THIS POSITION COULD REQUIRE THE EMPLOYEE TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR. MUST BE CLEAN SHAVEN OR WILLING TO SHAVE AHEAD OF HIRE IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE, AS RESPIRATOR MUST CREATE A SEAL AROUND MOUTH AND NOSE**

Our Client in the Scarborough area is seeking skilled and reliable disassembly laborers to join their electronics recycling team!

This position will requires experience using hand/power tools, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.

Position: Electronics Disassembly / General Labour

Location: Minutes away from HWY 401 & Kennedy Rd

Shift Schedule: Straight Day Shift - Monday - Friday - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay rate: $19/hr

Responsibilities
• Using a variety of hand and power tools to perform electronics disassembly tasks to prepare materials for recycling processes
• Occasionally supporting the "Glass House" department - removing tubing from old television sets, requiring respirators (paid $20/hr for these tasks)
• Materials handling (disassembly/breakdown/dismantle, transfer) of electronic products quickly, safely and securely
• Clean and maintain work stations, plant and equipment
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and processes at all times to avoid accidents or injuries
• Sorting materials after disassembly
• Individual quality control
• Preparing various materials for recycling process

Periodic Job Functions

• Individual equipment inspections
• Basic equipment maintenance
• Cross-training and re-deployment

Qualifications
•Jobs may require frequent lifting/bending, squatting and prolonged standing - must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Prior Assembly/Tool use experience of at least 2 years
• Must be able to sustain constant physical activity levels
• Experience using a variety of hand, power, and/or air tools
• Must have decent problem solving ability, good attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination
• Must be willing to maintain an exceptional attendance and punctuality record
• Must work well in a team setting
• Must put a constant focus on the safety of self and others in the work environment
• Must have the ability to quickly pick up and follow work instructions
