Job description

Our Client is dedicated to International Corporations, Institutions and Global Organizations, Insurers and Health Carriers.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the evaluation of individual and departmental performance gaps, design of training material and facilitation of training courses, using a variety of techniques, practices and training strategies. 

SCOPE

· Works professionally and effectively with all employees, in a high volume, fast-paced environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES/EFFORTS

· Identifies, designs, develops and implements training for the entire organization.

· Conducts gap/performance analysis with department supervisors, managers, and/or subject matter experts on existing programs and modifies as required. 

· Designs training manuals using adult learning principles.

· Develops training sessions and evaluation tools for positions across the organization using adult learning principles and results from quality assurance reports.

· Prepares for training delivery including scheduling and facility preparation.

· Maintains adequate supply of training materials and resources.

· Facilitates and delivers information effectively, conveying factual and conceptual content while applying the principles of adult learning principles to groups.

· Continually measures the effectiveness of all training courses and skill transfer.

· Monitors, coaches, evaluates and tracks participant progress during training.

· Recommends future training programs.

· Identifies and documents training issues or trends and present solutions to the Director, Human Resources for review.

· Provides information on the status of training programs and trainees to applicable individuals on a regular basis.

Other

· Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and client specific protocols.

· Performs all work in a PIPEDA and HIPAA compliant manner.

· Works in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislation.

· Ensures strict standards for claimant/client confidentiality and complies with organizational and governmental regulations/policies. 

· Other related duties as assigned.

What are we looking for from you?

· Minimum 3 Years experience as a Trainer in a Call Centre or Medical Insurance  environment.

· Post secondary education or related equivalent experience.

· Sound knowledge of and experience in adult training methods.

· Experience creating, implementing, and evaluating training manuals as well as training processes.

· Experience in Travel or Major Medical industry an asset.

· Experience with non-North American medical system an asset.

· Ability to speak multiple languages an asset.

EFFORT & WORKING CONDITIONS

· Superior communication skills with proven ability to modify style for different learning abilities.

· Discretion in dealing with confidential/sensitive information.

· Coordination and prioritization of time sensitive tasks.

· Critical and analytical thinking required. 

· Sits at a desk to perform the duties of the job up to 8 hours daily, as well as walks and stands within the office. 

· Modifies behaviour and/or actions to easily adjust to new situations in a positive manner.

· Works in a typical call centre office environment and the noise level is moderate.

· Exposure to constant interruptions/distractions, deadlines and multiple demands.
