Job Description: The Regional Manager, Payroll & Benefit Services is accountable for providing the direction and control necessary for the effective, efficient, timely and accurate provision of centralized payroll and benefit services to the Saskatoon Health Region and Affiliate Organizations. The Regional Manager, Payroll & Benefit Services is responsible for the development of payroll procedures and policies to ensure that legislative, union, governmental, and corporate requirements are identified and adhered to. The Regional Manager, Payroll & Benefit Services must be able to collaborate with all levels of management in the development of goals and objectives that are aligned with the Mission, Vision, Values and Goals of the region.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree coupled with a professional accounting designation
Experience
A minimum of 3 years managerial experience in a complex, computerized financial or payroll environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to design, use and interpret computerized databases and spreadsheets
Ability to plan, organize, manage and implement multiple initiatives within constrained resources to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced computer skills
Demonstrated effective change agent with exceptional people building skills
Excellent leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skills
In-depth understanding of legislative requirements
Knowledge of labour legislation, union contracts, and SHR policies and procedures.
