Job description
Grain Millers is one of North America's premier Oat Milling companies that supplies customers across Canada, U.S.A and Worldwide. We are accepting applications for a Permeant Facility Caretaker. This position will be working Monday to Friday, 8hours/Days. We are looking for reliable individuals who take pride in their work and show consistency in their work and enjoy working outdoors!
This position is responsible for exterior facility upkeep, including but not limited to. Snow removal and vegetation control, particularly areas surrounding the Main Office Courtyard, entryways, fire exits, designated smoking areas. Caretaker duties will include light building maintenance and repairs, such as minor installations, drywall repair, repainting, light mechanical troubleshooting, and other Janitorial/maintenance work orders as assigned.
Responsible for operating various types of powered mobile equipment such as Vegetation control equipment, Snow removal powered equipment, Lift trucks (forklifts), Aerial lift devices (scissor lifts, boom lifts)
This position also acts as a backup or support for the Janitorial department when needed.
The ideal candidates will have no allergies to grain or dust. You must be able to work in an environment that may be physically demanding, including working at elevated heights with the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. You must be comfortable working in an outside environment with exposure to various temperatures and weather conditions.
