Job description
Sierra Supply Chain Services Is on the search for Three (3) Line Leaders at our Brampton food processing facility @ 275 Walker Drive
Full-time + Vacation & Benefits.
5 Days per week (Saturday off) (Rotating Sunday) 42-44 H/ Week + OT.
BI- Weekly Rotation Day Shift (6 am to 3 pm) Afternoon shift : 3 pm to 12
$21-22/H
Location: Brampton
Line Management - Oversee line throughput. This includes setting up the production line being responsible for production velocity, minimizing downtime, and tracking and recording production information
- Provide direction to the line workers. This includes monitoring labour and break times and assigning line positions
- Ensure production results and targets are being met or exceeded
- Able to communicate production needs clearly to production workers and liaise with production supervisors/managers
- Assist in the development of production reports
- Efficiency improvement ( overtime Reduction)
- Waste reduction.
Food Safety & Quality Service - Contribute and be involved in following Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation and Safety Standards
- Oversee employee compliance to GMP and HACCP policies and implement measures when deviations are noted
- Ensures all company guidelines, GMP’s, food safety policies are followed and implemented as assigned
- Oversee product quality standards are met and product cases/pallets are scanned into the system
Leadership & Training - Train operators on production line equipment and processing methods, development of employees
- Ensure all internal processes and practices are adhered to by line workers. This includes health and safety, GMPs and HACCP
- Directing workers and coaching the team with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Monitor the production line(s) to ensure that production goals/tasks are being fulfilled in a timely manner (adhering to time constraints)
- Ensure that product is of the highest quality prior to being packaged/prepared for shipping/delivery
- Team Performance
- Monitor the performance of the production workers; support them in areas of improvement and growth
- Ensure production workers feel supported and motivated to accomplish production goals efficiently
- Recognize members of the team who may require further support or training opportunity
- Surpass the set targets, keep goals clear and focused. Encourage team building .

Technical Skills : Product/Service knowledge, technology proficiency pertaining to function, Basic Functional Knowledge.
Minimum Requirements: Education and/or Professional Designation: - High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of experience and education. Food Science or equivalent degree preferred
Experience: - Minimum 1 year of experience in a food production environment
- Leading people experience considered an asset
- Meat production/processing environment is an asset
