Come join our team! We are currently seeking a Marketing Leader, Canadian Seed and Crop Protection Business. The Marketing Leader will be responsible for leading long term business planning, coaching marketing disciplines in product strategy, product lifecycle management pricing & programs, route to market and promotions within the Canadian Seed and Crop Protection Business.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for people leadership, people development of the marketing team
- Accountable for development & implementation of annual and 5-year marketing plans
- Responsible for setting sales and margin targets for product lines
- Accountable for delivering quarterly sales targets through coordination with Sales, Account management, customer service and supply chain.
- Key external connection with Pioneer Sales Agencies and Business Partner senior leadership teams (distribution, retail, end-user, associations, etc.)
- Lead demand forecasting process in partnership with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team
- Ensure connection to North America – long term strategy development / alignment, new product development & business cases, launch plans, product lifecycle strategy, etc.
- Work cross-functionally – R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Industry/Gov affairs, Marketing Communications, Sales, Account management
- Collaboration with Sales Leaders and Sales teams
- Lead Canadian Marketing Leadership team & frequently connect with the N America leadership team.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in business, agriculture or related field
What You Need:
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience required.
- Agriculture and seed industry background preferred.
- Excellent communication and influence skills
- Proven knowledge of seed business processes and key systems.
- Strong business acumen with proven project management skills.
- Very strong oral and written communication, planning and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated facilitation & coordination skills.
- Must be able to work with people at all levels, including outside consultants and vendors, while influencing without formal authority.
- Must be able to build and maintain strong relationships
- Calgary, Alberta based role.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.
- Work from Calgary Commercial office at least 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) required
