Position Location: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

Full-Time Position Available

DUTIES

The Business Analyst applies their skill and experience to address challenging and complex issues and opportunities at the College. This process and analytics specialist amplifies the knowledge and wisdom of our subject matter experts and facilitates teams through planning, discovery, design, development, implementation, and value realization for important initiatives across the College.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in business analysis, information technology, business management, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

• Fluency in tools, practices, and approaches in the field of Business Analysis including the ability to select and apply analytic tools, processes, patterns, methodologies, industry practices, and learned experience to complex problems

• Awareness of methodologies that intersect Business Analysis including Project Management, Change Management, Business Analysis, IT Architecture, and IT Service Management

• Understanding of the principles of effective teamwork to participate and contribute to highly effective teams including knowledge of applied Project Management practices to effectively participate in project teams

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to creatively, clearly, and concisely communicate complex and nuanced concepts to a general audience

• Facilitation and elicitation skills to understand requirements, issues, and problems for large initiatives

• Strong emotional intelligence and political acumen to help navigate nuanced relationships and situations

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex problems and opportunities, summarize key findings, and provide recommendations

• Curiosity and creative thinking that drives the development of innovative solutions to complex problems

• Ability to create relationships and build trust with stakeholders quickly in order to effectively and efficiently elicit information, build understanding, resolve conflicts, and provide advice

• Strong self-management capabilities to effectively work independently, organize time, and manage competing priorities within assigned projects

• Several years experience in a business analysis role

• Work experience applying the principles of change management to business analysis

• Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

• International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certificate of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) (or higher) is preferred

• Certification in Change Management Certifications (CCMP, PROSCI) is an asset

• Advanced certifications and related certifications in Analytics, Project management, IT Architecture, IT Service management etc. considered and asset

• Knowledge of the post-secondary education sector and public sector government relations is an asset

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada

• This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends

• This position may be required to travel

• This position may be required to work overtime

Salary: $55,494 - $76,003 per annum
