Job description
Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Materials Engineer to join our clients team for a Temporary role based in Mildred Lake, AB. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the review and analysis of weld procedures, failure analysis, and materials selection within the Refinery/Upgrading/Extraction/Tailings plants.
Pay rate: $46.40/hour.
Location: Mildred Lake, AB
Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities: As a Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Reviewing weld procedures for maintenance/fabrication work.
Conducting failure analysis for material failures, including root cause analysis.
Reviewing inspection data and determining corrosion rates and failure probabilities.
Collaborating with maintenance and reliability teams to identify appropriate repairs.
Addressing materials selection and substitution queries.
Identifying damage mechanisms applicable to equipment/piping in Oil/Gas/Petrochemical plants.
Providing recommendations for inspection/repairs for process/utility piping.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering or equivalent.
1-6 years of experience in Inspection/Welding/Materials.
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication skills.
Team-player attitude and ability to collaborate effectively.
A learning mindset to adapt to evolving challenges in the industry.
