About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Cancer Registry & Analytics (CRA), and with minimal supervision, the Cancer Registry Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and assisting with data management operations involving the provincial Nova Scotia Cancer Registry (NSCR).

Duties include identification and testing of functional requirements for the NSCR software, monitoring and supporting business processes and work queues, and monitoring data quality related to Cancer Information System (CIS) operations.

The Registry Team Leader works with other cancer registry team members to ensure adherence to defined data and operations standards (e.g., Canadian Cancer Registry (CCR) -Statistics Canada) including assisting in coordination and delivery of education as required. The team leader will also assist with routine data file linkages. The team leader will participate in routine/annual data submission cycles and facilitate quality issues with the registrars (e.g., annual submission to the CCR, the Duplicate Resolution Process, etc.).
