Review and have knowledge of site-specific Client roles and responsibilities document (see enclosed)
Participate in twice daily (AM and late afternoon) safety huddle.
Maintain control of the front door (and other entrances), ensuring that it is locked at all times and preventing access to any unauthorised individual
Greet Guests who present at the door, checking to see if they are expected for the night or alerting staff to individuals who are not expected so that they can follow up as necessary
Remain vigilant for behaviours or actions that could become a safety concern for Guests or staff
Provide support on the floor for the Guest Support staff, assisting in de-escalation as necessary
Complete regular safety checks in the shelter space (sleeping area, porches, bathrooms and front exterior
Monitor bathroom, common and sleeping areas as needed
Complete "safe walks" with staff and/or monitor the sidewalk to ensure safe access/exit by staff from their vehicle (as requested accompany CRSB or other staff/supports re client engagement)
Maintain appropriate boundaries with Guests
Liaise w Group Home Counsellor on any identified issues.
Any other associated duties specified by the Team Lead (Group Home Counsellor)
