SUMMARY

As an integral associate of the CEO, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for the administrative tasks in all aspects of the organization including Communication Management, Finance/Accounting, Data Management, and Lending & Grant Administration. You will provide confidential administrative support to the CEO and staff, as well as supporting administrative activities for the board of directors. As a central point of contact between the internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the day-to-day operations, enabling the CEO to focus on their priorities. This is a great fit for someone who is passionate about promoting cultural awareness for individuals and communities and understands how to navigate through the Métis political landscape effectively.

Responsibilities will Include:

- Support the work of the CEO and other Directors, BDS, and board members.

- Assist the work of the Finance Department and the CCDF’s investment/lending activities.

- Ensure that all logistical factors related to conferences and meetings are managed effectively.

- Maintain updated policies and procedures manual.

- Support the CEO in gathering, developing, and supplying information to the Board of Directors.

- Ensure effective operation of the office and of office equipment.

- Serve as a backup personnel to Finance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Administration or similar is an asset.

-3-5 years in a comparable role

- Accounting experience, including A/P and A/R, bank deposits, and preparing for audit is an asset.

- Tech savvy, and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

Skills and Competencies:

- Self-starter, takes initiative and can work independently.

- Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information.

- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Flexible and adaptable to handle changing priorities and fast-paced environments.

- Ability to anticipate and meet the expectations and needs of internal and external stakeholders.

- Knowledgeable about the Métis people of Saskatchewan and their culture, with a passion for supporting the Métis people in their initiatives of business and community development, as well as meeting the goals of the Fund.
