Job description
Roseway Manor is a 66 bed Long Term Care Facility located in Shelburne, NS. We are actively seeking certified Continuing Care Assistants. We have multiple part time, and casual positions.
Our 66 residents come from all walks of life and have varying ranges of abilities and needs. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will seek to meet the needs of the "whole" person through Roseway Manor's Vision, Mission and Philosophy of Care.
- Provide personal care
- Serve meal trays, feed, or assist residents with their meals
- Weigh, lift, turn and re-position residents
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Demonstrate communication skills (written and verbal), initiative and empathy skills
- Prepare residents for recreation programs and accompany them if required
- Make beds and maintain resident rooms
- Stock supplies
- Maintain equipment (cleanliness and in well working order)
- CCA Certificate or enrolled in a CCA Program
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid/CPR
- Passion for working with the aging population with a resident first approach
