We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician.

Our team seeks a Third- or Fourth-Year Apprentice Electrician to learn on-the-job under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician. The apprenticeship will teach you how to assess and repair electrical problems on institutional, commercial or residential job sites. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will complete hands-on projects on job sites.

Electrician Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities

• Assist a Journeyman Electrician and follow instructions.
• Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment.
• Prepare and clean work areas.
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform conduit work.
• Follow safety codes and building regulations.

Electrician Apprentice Electrician Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Working at Heights training preferred.
• Able to diagnose problems using electronic test equipment.
• Knowledge of OESC electrical codes.
• Eager to learn.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and blueprint reading skills helpful.

Physical Requirements

Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying up to 50lbs. Must be able to read blueprints and recognize various colors of wiring. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, outside and inside. Frequent districtwide travel.
