About the company

English with Lucy is an online language school with over 16 million followers across social media. It started 8 years ago as a YouTube channel and now consists of a tight-knit remote team of 15 people who adore creating awesome social media content and incredible online English courses! Our aim is to teach English in a fun and structured way that provides people with skills that will ultimately improve all aspects of their lives (work/career opportunities, meeting new people and improving personal skills). We are looking for a highly organised and  detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for various administrative tasks.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Proofreading and editing automatically generated captions
• Cutting and editing audio files for course lessons
• Creating course video thumbnails and images
• Preparing scripts for the teleprompter
• Editing and amending lesson materials
• Data entry and miscellaneous administrative tasks

About you

You must have:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a C1-C2 level.
• An excellent eye for detail, with the ability to spot mistakes in both your own work and the work of others.
• The ability to easily understand instructions. Most instructions are delivered via Loom screen recordings.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspaces or Office 365.
• Proficiency with online design tools such as Canva.
• A stable internet connection.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Your location should align with the UK timezone. Applicants must be situated within the GMT+2 time zones to be eligible for this role.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with editing audio files (one of your ongoing tasks will be clipping and preparing audio files for our courses)
• Experience working in an online language school
• Knowledge of Asana or similar project management software

Benefits

We offer competitive pay of $10-$12 per hour, plus biannual bonuses (subject to company performance). 

This is a fully remote position, with the benefit of working in a friendly team.

This is a freelance, part-time position with a guarantee of 20 work hours per week. There is the opportunity to increase hours in the future.

Working hours can be flexible with a core workday of 9am - 5pm UK time.
