In your role, you will
- Develop new sources of supply through Proposals / Quotations and establish strategic alliances.
- Develop business strategies and coordinate complex projects
- Manage projects that include preparation of business cases.
- Identify, analyze, and realize cost reduction opportunities.
- Create formal networks internally and externally, and build business relationships with suppliers.
- Support with appropriate sourcing and negotiations strategies.
- Support in contract drafting, remedies, interpretation, application, and lead contract negotiations with suppliers.
- Lead supplier business reviews; monitor performance standards (KPIs); ensure contracts maintained in accordance with business requirements.
- Act as single interface with suppliers of new business.
- Participate in supply chain and/or cost optimization programs, and have experience with the implementation of procurement solutions, whether specific related ERP modules or best-of-breed source-to-contract (S2C) or procure-to-pay (P2P) solutions.
- Contribute to corporate-wide supply chain spend diagnostics; Developed processes to manage savings and spend governance activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional directors and procurement leadership teams within various programs.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives; communicate with project teams to clearly communicate objectives, constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Support project teams and participate or lead, as required, during negotiations of major claims and change orders.
- Support and actively engage with the supply chain team as team lead.
As our ideal candidate
- You have a bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.
- You have seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- You have experience in the aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment and/or program management, in a commercial role, an asset.
- You have excellent negotiation skills and experience in project management.
- You are detail oriented, focused and committed to meeting deadlines.
- You are a strong team player, recognized for your leadership and innovation, and ability to mobilize a team.
- Have a high proficiency and are good communicator in French and English (written and spoken)
- You have strong capabilities in operations and financial management.
- You are comfortable with complex technical topics, and have knowledge of legal terminology or interpretation of contracts.
- You can work with MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook.
