Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Tunnel Engineer (EIT or recently earned P.Eng.) to join the Infrastructure group in our Tunnels team in the Vancouver, B.C. location.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Deliver conceptual, preliminary engineering and final engineering for various projects;
• Preparing design submissions and other technical documents;
• Coordination with technicians and related disciplines as required to assist with engineering deliverables;
• Interaction with clients, consultants and contractors, as required;
• Ensure that design drawings are compliant with the suggested data; and,
• Additional assistance of Intermediate and Senior Engineers as and when needed.

You bring to the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical, Geological, Mining or Civil Engineering from an accredited University;
• 3+ years’ related experience;
• Interest in infrastructure and civil engineering;
• Interest and desire to be exposed to site environment;
• Software experience: Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects);
• Experience working in a consulting engineering environment;
• Knowledge of tunnel engineering and construction terminology;
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task;
• Highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic team player;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a flexible attitude are a must; and,
• Capable of working independently.
