Job description


Working Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week
Language of Work: English

Job Duties:
1.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients. Process and record financial transactions in accordance with established procedures using accounting tools such as Quickbooks and Excel.
2.Post journal entries, maintain chart of accounts, and prepare trial balances. Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts in the general ledger.
3.Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
4.Process invoices, track expenses, and manage accounts payable.
5.Generate and send invoices, follow up on overdue payments, and manage accounts receivable.
6.Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, comparative income statements, and various transaction history reports. Assist in the preparation of financial statements for clients.
7.Provide accurate data for GST and PST returns. Collaborate on tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
8.Process payroll, utility bills, and other expenses in a timely manner
9.Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.  

Qualifications:
1.A college diploma in Accounting or completion of professional courses or programs in a relevant specialization is required.
2.Experience in bookkeeping or as an accounting clerk is highly preferred.
3.A CPA or ACCA certificate is an asset.
4.Proficient in using advanced accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
5.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
6.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
7.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
8.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
